Safari Booking Procedure
You can book your Bandhavgarh safari by checking date availability on our website calendar and confirming a slot that suits you. If you prefer not to book online, you may call us on +91-7558484437 or WhatsApp us and we will arrange the permit for you. Advance reservation is strongly advised, especially if your trip dates are fixed.
Safari hours change between winter and summer, and the forest department may adjust them when required. Also note that there is no evening safari on Wednesdays, and the park stays shut on Holi each year.
Entry is controlled zone wise. Only a limited count of jeeps is allowed per shift so that the forest stays peaceful and wildlife is not disturbed. Booking early helps secure the zone you want.

Key Rules for Bandhavgarh Jeep Safari
Safari timings: You can go for one safari in a day. Pick either the morning slot or the evening one. Seats fill fast, so booking early is better.
Booking terms: Once your permit is confirmed, the assigned driver and guide stay fixed. These details cannot be updated later. If the booking does not go through because of low seat availability or a system issue, the full amount will be sent back to your account. You will be notified before the refund is issued.
Pickup options: Pickup is offered only if your hotel is close to the entry gate. If it is far, extra charges apply. You can also drive to the gate in your own vehicle without any problem.
Guide rule: Only park approved guides can join the safari. You cannot replace the assigned guide or bring an outside guide.
Single permit info: If you have a single permit, you need to pay the vehicle and guide fee at the gate. These fees are shared among all guests and are collected before entering the park.
Important: The safari voucher is not refundable, not cancellable and not transferable.
Other Bandhavgarh Booking Options
Besides regular permits, you can choose from two quicker options. These help if you are travelling alone or planning at the last moment.
Single Seat Tatkal Permit Booking
This works well for solo guests or when full jeep permits are already taken. You can book one seat in a shared jeep instead of paying for the whole vehicle.
Bookings open one day before your safari date at 2 PM.
Premium Tatkal Permit Booking
If you missed early booking, this gives you another chance. The Premium Tatkal quota opens 7 days before your safari date at 11 AM and helps you confirm a spot even with short notice.
Useful for last minute plans or when you could not book in advance.
Best time and season to visit Bandhavgarh
November to January (Peak Season)
The weather stays cool and comfortable, perfect for safaris. The forest looks green after monsoon, and tiger sightings remain good. This period is popular, so permits often sell out early.
February to April (High Season)
Days become warmer and animals gather more often near water sources, improving visibility. Many visitors prefer these months to increase the chance of seeing tigers and other wildlife.
May to June (Summer)
Heat is strong, but sightings are excellent as vegetation becomes thin and wildlife moves in open areas. Early morning drives are ideal. Carry water and light clothing for comfort.
July to September (Monsoon)
Core zones stay closed due to rain and the breeding season. The park focuses on conservation during this time. Some buffer zones may allow limited safari based on weather and rules.
