How to Reach Bandhavgarh National Park from Mumbai
By Air
The fastest way to reach Bandhavgarh from Mumbai is by flight. You can fly from Mumbai to Jabalpur Airport (approx. 160 km) or Khajuraho Airport (250 km) the two nearest airbases to the park. From either airport, taxis and private cabs are available for a 4 – 5 hour drive to Bandhavgarh.
By Train
Trains from Mumbai run to Umaria (32 km), Katni (95 km), and Jabalpur (160 km) all well connected to Bandhavgarh by road. From these stations, you can hire a cab or take local transport to reach your lodge comfortably.
By Road
Bandhavgarh is around 1,000 km from Mumbai. The drive takes 18–20 hours, passing through Nagpur – Jabalpur – Umaria. It’s a long but scenic route, suitable for travelers who enjoy road trips through rural and forested landscapes.
