However, for the first-time visitors planning their journey through the park can be challenging. We have got you covered. This guide will provide you with some tips and advice to make your Bandhavgarh adventure unforgettable.

Planning Your Trip

Season

The park remains closed during the monsoon season (roughly July to September) due to harsh weather conditions. The best time to go is during the dry season which lasts from October till June.  But October through February are cooler months and are best for safaris with less heat during mornings and evenings. March – June may be hot, but these months attract tigers due to water presence.

Accommodation

In Bandhavgarh, there are various types of accommodation suitable for different classes of people ranging from lavish resorts to inexpensive lodges. Think about whether you prefer luxury or getting lost in nature and book well in advance, especially if you decide on peak season trips.

Permits and Transportation

Do your bookings early to secure permits. It’s better to book online especially when visiting popular zones. Additionally, many resorts and lodges can assist you with permit bookings as well as transport arrangements.
